vanilla custard

2 cups milk of choice

3 tbs cornstarch

2 tbs maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla essence

SERVING SIZE 2-3 serves | Suitable from 6mo

In a saucepan, whisk together all ingredients, until well combined

Place saucepan over a medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens and comes to a gentle boil (5-7 minutes)

Reduce heat to low and continue to stir, cooking for a further 3-5 minutes

Allow to cool slightly before serving, alternatively, serve cold
